Intro to Stained Glass

A one-day workshop for girls ages 9-15

Most craft classes hand a girl a kit. This one hands her an arched glass panel and the tools to turn it into stained glass.

Stained glass is a craft that goes back centuries. You lay out a design in dark leading lines, fill each section with glass paint, and let the light do the rest.

What She’ll Do:

  • Design: she sketches her own pattern onto an arched standing panel, breaking it into the shapes and sections that make stained glass look the way it does

  • Lead: she traces her lines with black paint to create the outlines that hold the design together

  • Color: she fills each section with translucent glass paint, blending and layering until the whole panel glows

What She Takes Home:

  • Her finished arched stained glass panel, which stands on its own in a window or on a shelf

  • Friday, November 6 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM

  • Girls ages 9 to 15

  • Coppell, TX (exact address given after registration & payment)

  • $15/student

  • All supplies are provided

  • No art experience needed

  • Space is limited so every girl gets help at the table
